Your Privacy, Plain and Simple

Your family tree data stays on your device.

When you create a family tree, all names, dates, relationships, and photos are stored locally in your browser. We never receive this information.

This is by design. Your family history is personal, and it should stay that way.

We collect minimal data only when necessary:

• Email address - Only if you upgrade to Plus (for receipts and support)

• Payment information - Processed securely by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

• Basic analytics - Anonymous page views to improve the product. No personal tracking.

Some Plus features require our servers:

• Collaboration - If you invite family members to edit your tree, we store an encrypted copy to enable sharing.

• Family matching - If you opt in, we can help connect you with extended family who've also opted in.

These features are completely optional. Your tree works perfectly fine without them.

We will never:

• • Sell your data to advertisers or data brokers

• • Share your family information with third parties

• • Collect DNA or connect to genealogy databases

• • Track you across other websites

• • Use your data to train AI models

• • Show you targeted ads

We use minimal cookies:

• Functional cookies - Remember your preferences

• Authentication - Keep you logged in if you have an account

We don't use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

You have the right to:

• • Access any data we have about you

• • Delete your account and associated data

• • Export your data

• • Opt out of any server features
