Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can create and use family trees without any account. If you upgrade to Plus, we only need an email for your receipt.
What does "per tree" mean?
Each tree you create can be upgraded separately. If you have multiple trees, you only pay for the ones you want to unlock.
Is this a subscription?
No. Plus is a one-time payment. Pay once, use forever. We don't like subscriptions therefore we don't do subscriptions.
What happens to my data?
By default, everything stays on your device. We never see your family information. If you enable collaboration, data is encrypted and shared only with people you invite.
Can my family view the tree without paying?
Yes. You can share a view-only link for free. Collaborators who edit need you to have Plus.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you're not happy within 30 days, email us and we'll refund you - no questions asked.
What's "family matching"?
An optional, opt-in feature. If you enable it, we can help you find connections to other trees who've also opted in. Both sides must consent. It's completely optional.
